ARTBASH continues to grow and evolve. Since graduated with a masters in Art Psychotherapy in 2019. Linda continues to explore the value of creativity in supporting our wellbeing. Through art-making, children and adults can find a true sense of self.

With this mind, ARTBASH is naturally growing an extra leg by introducing, ‘ART be’ a space for you to be you. This is Art therapy and therapeutic art projects for children, young people and adults. After all ‘Art is what makes us human.’

Paula Hughes

Paula Hughes

Director of ARTBASH & be LTD and Social Media

Paula’s background is in education. She spent from 2004 – 2014 teaching English, Art and History in schools around London.

Never quite able to reconcile herself as only a teacher, she studied furniture design and upholstery in the London Metropolitan University and School of Stuff respectively and discovered she adored bringing life to old things especially chairs, for which she has a particular, and possibly unhealthy, obsession!

It was through upholstery that she met Linda and, in turn, got involved with ARTBASH in 2012. ARTBASH was, and is, a place to utilize her education background as well as draw on her more practical approach to craftsmanship and art.

She has a passion for printing using the ancient craft of etching, which she incorporates into her work, but her favourite part of the week is ARTBASH.
